Helmet Recall

Comoto Family of Companies is conducting a voluntary recall on a small range of helmets in accordance with the rules and procedures of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).

During voluntary testing we had conducted on helmets we sell, our third-party testing company determined that some of the helmets (identified below) did not comply with testing required by the DOT. This noncompliance could create an enhanced risk of injury for a rider using these helmets. For that reason, we are recalling the following helmets:

Amped Evo Adult

Amped Evo Rapid

Amped Evo Youth

Raider Helmet

Vertex Parabola

Route Journey

BILT Grommet Youth Helmet

Vertex Solid

Vertex Stripes

Route Retro

Route Solid

If you have a helmet within one of the categories listed above, then you should stop using that helmet immediately. Also, you should be aware that it is a violation of federal law for you to sell any helmet covered by this recall notice.

Please register on this page using the drop-down options below and providing us with your contact information. Once we receive your information, we will ship you a return kit so that you can send the recalled helmet back to us.
